Three Little Grizzly Bears

It's been awhile since we've heard a good Clipse mash-up. Well, not since MySplice, anyway. Then, it was "Flaming Clipse,"; today, P4K's got Girl Talk's remix of Grizzly Bear's "Knife," which works the Thornton brothers' rap into a dancefloor-ready, "Shout"-sampling twist on the Yellow House favorite. For more Grizzly mash-up action, hit Brooklyn Vegan for a track that pairs "Knife" with The Knife. Yeah, it's semantics -- but pitch-shifted vox aside, it works well. And for the trifecta, we suggest you pick up the band's own reworking of "Easier," a B-side that dials down the snare shuffle, and works up the surreal sweep and swoosh. Check it out at Rough Trade.

Enjoy.

having not been a fan of clipse, or the knife, or grizzly bear. recently I've come around. Not saying these "MASH UPS" or whatever have made me fans, but just saying that me and my mind are rethinking it all.

nothing beats THE BLOW

why don't people mash that up?
ALSO, clipse works weirdly TOO well with that Knives song

Wow. Grizzly Bear / Clips being two of my favorite albums this year being mashed together makes what? A new more-favorited album? All jokes aside. I agree Bakersville those two songs go together pretty damn smooth.

I've tried countless times to deny the greatness that is The Clipse but I'm a whore for Grizzly Bear. This mash-up was meant to teach me a lesson. Thanks Girl Talk. Thanks Stereogum.

You posted over a month ago, but yes I will be at the Cbus show. And if that's Clifford, I'll shit my pants right now.
