it's cool that he's finally married. they've been going out for years apparently. i read in the august issue of BLENDER magazine that all the band members have been with their girlfriends since before they even became famous, so that's been at least a year and a half. and so what if he's mormon, he's not really a serious one if he smokes and drinks. and i don't think that tana would want to be mobbed by the paparatzi or however the hell you spell the word. but they are a little young to get married, oh well, that's his business. we all just need to BUILD A BRIDGE AND GET OVER IT.

It's hilarious to see what people think about Mormons. They are normal and probably the nicest people I've ever known. And polygamy hasn't been around in the Mormon church in over 100 years, so the fact that people even mention that anymore is ridiculous. In response to an earlier post, Brandon and Tana married and honeymooned in Hawaii. A lot of you are questioning why he would marry just as he became famous. I think it demonstrates that he has some integrity, a quality in short supply in the world, especially in the music and film industries. I can't deny a part of me was a little crushed to find out he was getting married (kinda kills all my fantasies) but in some way, I applaud him for resisting what must be enormous temptation to **** around. Screwing everything in sight does not make you a man. Maybe his wife isn't gorgeous or glamourous but in my eyes, that makes him even more endearing. Women barely looked at Brandon before the fame - Tana was the first girl he ever kissed - so I imagine he saw through the superficiality of fame at an early stage. But don't despair boys and girls - considering the amount of scrutiny has befallen his wife after only a few months of marriage, i'll be very surprised if she can bear the pressure.

As a previous member of the mormon church, I thought I should let you all know a few things. First of all, Polygamy is banned by the church, as it is illegal. mormons drive cars, have ipods, play halo, etc. it may surprise you to know, but the LDS church (mormon church) is actually a huge money earner. They own tons of land, and many businesses. They refuse to show any financial records, however. (which is weird because they are supposed to be non-profit but i highly doubt they are) anyways, that is the least of the churches problems. i grew up in the church and lets just say that if you live in utah and you aren't mormon, you don't fit in, your considered "godless" there are a lot of nice people, but most mormons are so obsessed with their own beliefs, anyone else's beliefs are considered a threat. a utah college didn't want to allow michael moore to speak there because he is a democrat! this exclusive attitude and lack of acceptance is the main reason i left the church. it does have a lot of good points, but ultimately i can't be part of a church that just isn't honest with it's members. if you want to check it out for yourself, visit www.lds.org.

Sorry for being long winded, but It is sort of a soap box for me. My parents raised me in the church from birth, as did their parents. The only thing I ever learned when i was young was that the mormon/lds church was true, joseph smith was a prophet, etc. i was NOT allowed to go to catholic mass to see what it was about or anything. It was only when i left home that i started to think for myself and realize that none of it is true. Joseph smith was not a prophet. He did not translate the book of mormon. the members have good intentions, but they simply block out all reason because they are brainwashed and narrow minded. my parents are extremely angry at me for voicing certain opinions (like not being a republican) and they don't even let my siblings hang around me because i might "give them ideas" I wish that organized religion could be more accepting of people who aren't of the same beliefs!!!!!!!
