MTV VMA 2004 Nominees

Best Video Of The Year

  • D-12 "My Band"
  • Jay-Z "99 Problems"
  • Outkast "Hey Ya"
  • Britney Spears "Toxic"
  • Usher f/ Lil' Jon & Ludicris "Yeah"

It's gonna be Kevin Federline's first VMAs! Exciting!

Other notables (i.e., songs I like):

  • Franz Ferdinand "Take Me Out" nominated for 2 awards: Breakthrough Video, MTV2 Award.
  • Yeah Yeah Yeahs "Maps" nominated for 4 awards: Best Art Direction, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, MTV2 Award.
  • White Stripes "Hardest Button To Button" nominated for 4 awards: Breakthrough Video, Best Direction, Best Special Effects, Best Editing.
  • Modest Mouse "Float On" nominated for 3 awards: Breakthrough Video, Best Special Effects, MTV2 Award.

No Doubt's "It's My Life" better win something too. That vid hypnotized me every time it was on.

I love how the actual good videos can only win the "mtv 2" award. MTV sucks yet again (not really surprising)
