I love Nick Drake "Five Leaves Left" and "Pink Moon" are two of my favorite Nick Drake albums.I think he wrote some beautiful music....someone said that the song "Pink Moon" is about suicide, does anyone know if that is true?
I've heard that Brad Pitt who is a big Nick Drake fan narrates a BBC documentry about him? Has anyone seen it yet?

"A Skin Too Few" was the name of the Nick Drake documentry that I saw a few months ago at Cinema Village here in New York, it was very well done.
In terms of P!nk I have to say that she is one of my guilty pleasures. I own her last album and "Mizunderstood", can't believe that I admited that!

Nice to meet another Nick Drake fan. A lot of his songs are "supposedly" about suicide, not just "pink moon", but no one can really say for sure. I think it's mostly fans/critics interpreting it that way because of he *did* commit suicide. It's sad that people can't be more open minded, it's like Sylvia's Plath poetry which will inevitable go down in history as the sad,depressed, suicidal poet...when in reality, she wrote a lot of happy, beautiful poems.
The BBC doc. aired on radio, it was eons ago.

Yes its nice to meet another Nick Drake fan as well. I would highly recomend renting "A Skin Too Few" from Netflix. The people interviewed are Paul Weller, Nick's sister Gabrielle Drake who is a famous TV actress in England (something I never knew), Joe Boyd his producer and his arranger whose name I can't remember at the moment. But Joe Boyd talks about how Nick's depression problems could be so bad to the point were he pretty much skiped out of his first tour. And his sister is the one who says that Nick had a skin too few that he was too sensitive for this world.
This documentry aired on TV in Holland I believe and its really quite beautiful the way that it is shot. The interviews and Nick's music are juxtaposed with scenes from the British country side places that were relevant in Nick's life.
I'm glad that movies such as "The Royal Tennebaums","Garden State" and dare I say it "Sernedipity" (with my least favorite actress Kate Beckensdale) have been using Nick's music and exposing a new generation to his music. I kind of have mixed feelings about the Volvo commercial.
Was the Brad narated documentry a radio or tv special? I'd be curious to check it out.
In terms of Pink I love the fact that she is soooo trashy, its the same with Brit while I think that Pink makes better music then Britt its the whole kitch factor.
