Musicians On Call

A momentary break from our ongoing Kelly Clarkson coverage: We came across a cool charity auction that's well worth checking out. It's called Musicians On Call, and the goal is to bring artists to seriously ill, hospitalized patients and give 'em what we take for granted: a set of live music. MOC also donates "full label catalogues to hospital libraries and free tickets to patients' favorite shows." FADER has info on how to help out:

One of the ways Musicians On Call is able to continue their work is their annual charity auction which you can still participate in online ... You can peruse the lots up for bidding, but just to whet your appetite, a few of the items available are year-long passes to MoMA, original art by Daniel Johnston ... tickets to a Bright Eyes concert, Yoko Ono's sunglasses, VIP passes to Coachella, a trip to India, a luxury cruise with Lynyrd Skynyrd (!!!), a ton of autographed and rare guitars, and, in what we hope will be a heated competition for Jay-Z's paper and heart, a monogrammed Rihanna robe and autographed House of Dereon jeans.
Get involved with the good cause by burning some cash on the auctioned goods here. Tell us if you get anything! (And if it's Rihanna robe, we expect a pic of you in it.) Thanks guys.

Only $325 to go backstage with Hootie and the Blowfish? If only I hadn't bought lunch today...
