My Chemical Romance Join The Multitude Finding It Difficult To Take Marilyn Manson Seriously

A little follow-up from last week for ya. Marilyn Manson's ironic outing of MCR as pale (pun) imitators struck a nerve with a lot of you, but failed to make an impression on his Costello-loving target. Gerard Way told Rock Sound (via NME):

We still haven't found someone that has knocked us down that we need to take seriously. If Elvis Costello said we sucked we would think about it a bit but usually it is comments from someone with a new record to promote so the remarks ring hollow.
There you go, Gerard: Get Happy!! Won't be long before the Onion's "Marilyn Manson Now Going Door-To-Door Trying To Shock People" piece goes from satire to legitimate news item. (If you haven't read it, it's a must.)

MCR, Marylin Manson, Audioslave, the new Scott Weiland band... Now, I'm certain I'm reading the wrong blog.

Manson is lamer than I've thought!!! How can this Mickey Mouse even dare accusing My Chemical Romance of ripping him off when everything he does is just a BIG FAKE?!?I think he is a very stupid attention seaker and his new album is the worst shit ever,no wonder he does this desperate self-promotion...

I think Marilyn Manson is losing his strangle hold on the world (ie: heart shaped glasses) and the man without fear is starting to shit his pants. Here comes the black parade!!

Wow. All of the people who actually think Gerard Way is better/cooler the Marilyn Manson are very amusing. I can't believe all of these emo children beliving My Chemical Romance is good music! If it wasn't for Marilyn Manson in the early ninties, your stupis emo crap wouldn't be around.
As for the "door-todoor" story, we all know that's a load of bull. People smearing Manson is because they are jelous of his out-come. Envy is a large form of flattery.
