My Name Is

Thanks everyone who suggested rock names for stereokitten. We let our boy sift through the mailbag himself and find his favorite.

Say HELLO to Lionel. He was scrawny like Nicole Richie, but we got him meds and now he's enjoying lamb lungs and making faces at Bunny. Of course, I wanted to name him Sussudio (and Robby Sheff suggested Nastassja Kinski because he "always wants people to name their cats that"), but EJ wasn't feeling it. Lionel it is.

Here are two relevant cuts from the swing covers album y'all seem to love so much.

Paul Anka - "Hello" (MP3 link removed)
Paul Anka - "Love Cats" (MP3 link removed)

I'm now one of those bloggers that posts about cats on Fridays. (Sigh.)

wow, this version of lovecats is boring. he really should've done a waiting room version of Fugazi's Waiting Room. I guess you figure no one's going to buy Anka's cd anyway, so you can go ahead and post all the tracks you want?

eh, you're probably right.

Hey, I don't suppose anyone knows of a place where the two prior Paul Anka covers are mirrored. I'm so disappointed I missed Jump!

thunder....Thunder....THUNDERCATS, HOOOO!

Lion-O would have been a cooler name, IMHO, although your kittie looks a bit more like a future Panthro. You must have been torn.

As someone who knows a little something about kittens, I must say that little Lionel looks like he could be dancing up on the, um, ceiling. With claws.

SOOOOOOO Cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The 15-Minute Whippets love lamb lungs, but jesus christ those things smell like something that crawled inside a wall and died a month ago. I had to stop buying them because they were making me gag. Seriously.

Are those Stereogum-jeans in the first photo? Not that I need to know or anything. :)

Kitties are always good. You should upload a photo of both of them onto http://kittenwar.com and see how they do.
