PopCandy points us to Sountrack.net, a database of motion picture trailers and the songs used therein. Fun way to kill some time, and an even better way to impress a date with your music-trivia acumen (a day after the fact). Or a great means to random trivia games. Like ... what song was used in the theatrical trailer to The People Vs. Larry Flint? Answer after the jump.

All right. I've been reading the comments that people leave about how Stereogum used to be this and used to be that, and I've always been like, "Ah, whatever. News is news." But soundtrack.net? I believe the only song used for soundtracks from 1999 - 2003 was Hero by Chad Kroeger, a song that sounds slightly more grating than a chimpanzee with Tourette's.
