This one is special because it benefits the destitute shareholders of the Starbucks corporation, which now qualifies as a post-economic meltdown charity case. The tracklist is tight. Not all the songs are new (you can hear Death Cab's take on the Cure's "Love Song" 11 months ago if you want), but A.C. Newman's take on "Take On Me" seems good and fresh. Literally.

I'm kinda bummed this came out, because a buddy of mine did a great cover of this tune last year - Hello India Calling. - and I really dig that version (it's at www.myspace.com/helloindiacalling if anyone's interested)
This version is distinct from that one, though, and I love both the major crescendo chorus here and the nicely composed breakdown. This guy has his hands in a lot of pies, and they're all tastier for it
