New Aesop Rock (Feat. John Darnielle) - "Coffee"

Doing for underground hip-hop what Run-DMC and Aerosmith, the Judgement Night soundtrack and Zach Galifianakis and the Bonny one did for the aboveground stuff, encyclopedic spitter Aesop Rock goes full force with encyclopedic strummer John Darnielle to talk "Coffee" (as if either needed any). This one's mostly Aesop, which has us wondering what would happen if roles switched a bit, and they took on some staccato spitting from the Mountain Goats' catalogue ("Woke Up New," or selections from the "Going To..." series, anyone?). For now, wow, who would've guessed Darnielle would prove such a dig-worthy diva? Listen at Hype.

This is music for fags. Typical Stereogum.

Sounds like Mrs. Featherbottom misses the good old lynching tunes of days gone by.

Just to clairfy, I didn't make the comment with the term "fags". I am the original Featherbottom who hates Stereogum and it's lame writing and subject matter. But in no way am I intolerant of any sexual preference or way of life, in general.
Please only use the Featherbottom name as a way of heckling Stereogum and it's writers. Fucking with people in a racist/bigoted sort of way is almost, but not quite, as lame as Stereogum.

Featherbottom, you need grammar rehab.

First, calling yourself Featherbottom is infinitely more 'faggy' than anything about this website or the music it follows.

Second, if it's so bad, why waste your time coming here to comment?

Get lost, dude. Scram.
