New Beck Video - "Think I'm In Love"

Mr. Beck teased us by letting us hear "Cell Phone's Dead" for like a day before he took the stream offline. The song's floating around the blogosphere in MP3 format (obvs), but here's the bigger upside: another song from the forthcoming Godrich-produced "hip-hop" album has quietly debuted at myspace.com/beck. Low budget video, none of this audio-only nonsense for our favorite guero.

He's been playing it live since last fall, and it's called "Think I'm In Love." Guess he's doing fine.

This is a pretty sweet little pop song. Simple, slightly strange (sonically), and it has big melodic hooks placed front and center. It doesn't have the manic Beck weirdness of some of his best singles, but its still a worthy song.

nice work fellah.

i likey.

do you think being a scientologist has had an inverse effect on beck's wierdness?

like, scientologfy itself is so wacky, that it's used up beck's everyday wackiness quota. ALL UP! USED IT ALL UP!

where are the new maverick nutters? hmmmmm?

Neat song, fun video.
Still not sure why he's hanging out with Joe Jackson, but oh well.

That was decent. If you forget about the fact that dude wrote "Hotwax" and "Novacane" and "Cold Brains" and some of the other Best Songs Ever, this New Beck stuff is very listenable pop music.

The man's still got it. Last time I checked this didn't qualify as hip-hop but I am always down when it comes to new Beck tunes.

Sounds like something that could've been on Guero. Not all about it, but it took months for me to give that album a chance.
