I remember seeing this video on Coldplay's website and thinking "What the fuck was that?" It's nice to see Coldplay continuing to experiment with the music video format. This is probably their most bizarre video since the US version of "Trouble".
Also, I couldn't tell 'cause of the poor streaming quality, but are Chris and company digitally inserted into pre-existing television footage or was everything filmed specificially for this video?

Coldplay sucks ass, and has NEVER done any song that wasn't ENTIRELY derivative of either Radiohead, U2, or Pink Floyd. Coldplay fans are the usual lot of losers that don't know anything about music beyond what is spoonfed to them. That song 'Yellow' is one of the worst pieces of crap I've ever heard. Those who seek out great music will find great music; Those that expect music to come to them (sold to them) get bands like Coldplay. Of course, Coldplay peaked a couple years back, and, with disposability being the name of the game in our modern mainstream music scene, it's pointless to even discuss them as they vanish from the memories of the hype-fans that buy into whatever band has enough hype budget behind them. Crazy video. Coldplay deserves some cred for giving props to our elders... and the bands that inspired them. Erinn, music is where you find it. EVERY artist is inspired (borrows from)those that come before them. It is impossible to create something entirely new, as the thoughts and ideas that we think of are drawn upon from our past experiences.
