New Crowded House [Feat. Johnny Marr] - "Don't Stop Now"

The first single from Crowded House's forthcoming Time On Earth sees the Aussies painting from their usual palette of unassuming, melodic rock. No "Don't Dream It's Over," but how could it be. Steve Lillywhite gets the nod on production, and what better way to battle a reunion set marred by Rage than by getting Marr'd by Johnny, ya know? (Sorry.) Have a listen at CrowdedHouse.com.

cheers for the link. really looking forward to this new album. one of my all-time fave bands.

this new single ain't too shabby. doesn't quite reach the melodic heights neil's capable of, but it's a great start to their return.

Crowded House is one of my favorite bands ever. I love everything they've done. I'm so excited about this! The last Finn Brother's album was solid but a bit boring but I LOVED the first, so I'm really hoping CH is a banger. This single sounds pretty darn good, but it's not sounding as great as "Four Seasons in One Day". Maybe it will take a few listens.

I believe they are Kiwis not Aussies.

How candy would it be if this was actually the Guided By Voices' song "Don't Stop Now"?

I liked Crowded House, and I'm looking forward to this new effort as well. I just have no idea if they've still got it.

Get over to Wolfgang's Vault and stream some early phenomenal CH shows from the first US Tour! You'll get an idea of what an integral part of the band the late Paul Hester was.

BIG Crowded house fan. Really looking forward to this album. Can't really judge from this first single, but I'm not sure I like it as much as their other stuff. A bit too poppy. Hopefully the whole album isn't this happy sounding. I like their dark and moody stuff.

Did you listen to the words? I don't think it's really that "happy."

Heard the new single "Don't Stop Now" for the first time, seemingly not a bad effort, but obviously suited to the contempory market at the time, something that CH has usually always done. Hopefully its a grower

Dig the new single, New Drummer seems good, Neil Finn is a kiwi, the bassist (N.Seymour) is an aussie the rest are American. Video is slightly Cure like.
