New Death Cab For Cutie Video - "I Will Follow You Into The Dark"

I know Death Cab posts make the readers all crazy-like. But I'm still a fan, so deal.

here's the video link to the band's new "I Will Follow You Into The Dark" video.

The clip doesn't hold a candle to director Jamie Thraves' memorable collaborations with Radiohead ("Just") and Coldplay ("The Scientist"), but hey ... it's Gibbard in a tie! And at least I know where to capo now.

DCFC also stopped by Henry Rollins' show on IFC. Watch some web-only Q&A here. Watch some acoustic "Sound Of Settling" here.

The Henry Rollins Show airs Saturdays at 10. I keep forgetting to DVR, which sucks 'cause they've had great guests: Sleater-Kinney, Frank Black, Ben Folds, BRMC, Aimee Mann, John Doe ... just to name six. Perry Farrell and Deadboy & the Elephantman are up next episode.

A little off topic here, but - god DAMN, Henry Rollins! Not only does the man have a great TV show, he's also just put together the original Rollins Band and is getting ready to go on tour. He was just in LA no too long ago doing a library benefit. The man is unstoppable - he's omnipotent, like Chuck Norris.

That DCFC video for Crooked Teeth from Directions is totally badass. (not the crappy sledgehammer wannabe one, the awesome robot/pirate/dinosaur puppets one)

So if I like Death Cab AND Motion City, I must be uber-lame. Damnation, looks like its suicide again for me.

This is my favourite Death Cab song.

I loves it.

Not sure about the vid though. It's kinda good but neither quirky nor interesting enough to make me wanna see it again.

thanks for the youtube link. Scott Stereogum, quit linking to yahoo video, the POS doesn't work on macs. Or at least a warning in the post, you're getting my hopes up.

Jason, the youtube link and the in-post link are not the same. The in-post (Yahoo) link is to the "offcial" video. With a big, dumb hole.

The youtube link is to a different video about rabbit lovers and fruit flies. Maybe it's from Directions? I'm not sure.

I love DCFC and I love Hank.

But am I the only one to notice the weird irony that the man who wrote TV Party now has his own show (even if it is awesome)?

Hey, if you're looking for irony, Rollins' career is full of it. Some might call it hypocracy. I half expect him to show up on The Surreal Life. What a clown.

What's wrong with Death Cab?

The video was saddening and lovely. And Ben's tie was nice. The song was good, too. 3 out of 3 for me.
