New Devendra Banhart - "Bad Girl" / "Carmensita"
As promised, Devendra's two-tracks-a-Friday stream premieres continue over at MySpace, this installment bringing conga-fied "Carmensita" and the truly lovely, slide and vocal wah-wah ballad "Bad Girl." You get these same goods over at devendrabanhart.com's listening station -- but a visit to the video page yields two new video clips for your consumption. Ladies, the first features lots and lots of Gael García Bernal, so enjoy that -- though it's not too fair to poor Gael; the clip shows footage of Banhart and Bernal at mics singing the same melody and lyric, and you can't help but compare-and-contrast. Don't worry though -- Devendra may have a better head voice, but Gael'll always kill it in a dress. Until Friday...
