New Faint - "The Geeks Were Right" The Faint's fifth full-length Fasciinatiion is out 8/5 on new imprint blank.wav. You can stream lead track "The Geeks Were Right" at their MySpace (via P4K). Listening, it's unclear what the geeks saw in the future besides sci-fi clichés and a plodding pre-programmed beat. What's clearer -- as even the label name suggests -- is that the Faint 2008 are shooting blanks.

the faint really seem like a band that's making an effort to suck. they could just be pumping out formulaic retreads of Blank Wave Arcade and Danse Macabre, but instead they've insisted on making tedious garbage. just my opinion...

Yeesh.. I bet after hearing this Saddle Creek is glad they left. This song sucks.
