Listening, it's unclear what the geeks saw in the future besides sci-fi clichés and a plodding pre-programmed beat. What's clearer -- as even the label name suggests -- is that the Faint 2008 are shooting blanks.

the faint really seem like a band that's making an effort to suck. they could just be pumping out formulaic retreads of Blank Wave Arcade and Danse Macabre, but instead they've insisted on making tedious garbage. just my opinion...
