Allegedly premiering here, though I can't get it to work. You?

Looks like you need to have Windows Media 11 (just released) for it... I can't verify though since I'm on a Mac and they're still on Windows Media 9 for us. Hope someone can see it and maybe convert to a more friendly format.

Reminds me of Led Zep's video for "Whole Lotta Love," except the girl is even more prominent....

Raise your hand if you're wondering what was blurred out on the bed.

I saw the Lips last night at the Wakarusa Festival in Lawrence, KS! Awesome!!! Surpassed my wildest expectations. There was a group of Santa Claus characters on one side and space aliens on the other.

While the stage crew wasn't really adept at setting up the stage as they should have been -- and a second encore cut off by the late schedule -- Wayne and Co. were as gracious as ever.

Set list included Boehmian Rhapsody, Yoshimi, Yeah Yeah Yeah Song, The WAND, She Don't Use Jelly, and the encore was Do You Realize. I was hoping to see them play War Pigs, but there was no such luck. Maybe if they'd got that second encore.

It was a great show, and, for a Lips virgin, a great indoctrination into their world.

btw: why is it, that the lips go for the rubber balls in that video? there was that sony-bravia-flic with gonzales, the parody-rip-off and there's a video by german band mia. using that kind of style (watch that video here).

i'm getting a bit tired of that idea...

in other news: it's actually a real nice one.

Just wondering what's going on with the podcast. Is it working for others? iTunes is telling me the URL is invalid, can't seem to open the wwww.stereogum.com/mp3_index.xml in my internet browser either. Any help?
