New French Kicks Video - "So Far We Are"

Video premiere from FK's latest CD Two Thousand. Starring Olivia Wilde -- the actress who had that lesbian thing going with Marissa Cooper (RIP) -- and lots of flaslights.

I can't get over how much that girl from the OC looks like a porn actress.

the french kicks are AWFUL! the lead singer is gratingly dull and the only tunes he can carry are in his shorts.

I prefer "Trial of the Century" to the new album (and "Crying Just For Show", off of "One Time Bells", is one of my favorite songs of all time), but I gotta say - "So Far We Are" is my summer jam of 2006.

Ooh thanks for posting. I liked the video, kinda follows the whole night thing of their previous video, "Trial of the Century".

The French Kicks are ridiculously underrated. For me this is not the best song on the album, since I prefer Basement and England... but it's good for a single.

The Walkmen? Granted they were similar a couple of years ago but now I think FK has gotten better.

Thanks for posting the video! The French Kicks are lovely, and sad thing that I haven't bought the album :(

Their song, "Only So Long," on the "Trial of the Century" is one of my all time favorites. FK often reduce songs down to their bare essentials -- even sometimes to a single chord, but it somehow works. These guys are unique and talented.

though the new album is not as strong as trial, it's still a great listen all the way through. as for the walkmen, though i still love them, and though the strength of their first album probably helped the french kicks, the latest album is a mess; the only song worth listening to is "louisiana." they should have released the single and shelved the rest of that amelodic, forgettable "album." or at least made the album 12 iterations of that one song; it's so damn awesome it could probably work.

i'm hoping they learned whatever it was they were trying to learn from that one and can come back stronger for it in 2008 or so.

French Kicks rule. One of the members lives in my 'hood, and every time I see him I think naughty homosexual thoughts.
