New glös - "Break My Heart"
glös is the project of Keeley Davis (ex-Engine Down, Denali, currently Sparta), excellently named Cornbread Compton (ex-Engine Down, currently Cursive and Heavens) and Keeley's sister, vocalist Maura Davis (ex-Denali and Ambulette). It started as a collaboration between Keeley and Cornbread while the two were touring Europe in Engine Down. When that band split (alas), it continued as a long-distance Postal Service-style project. After knocking together 20 songs, they invited Maura to join (because she sings in 95.2% of Keeley's bands), and continued bulking up the tunes via the Internet. We previously posted the shadowy Keeley-sung burner "Unharmed" from their full length Harmonium. They've just released the digital-only The Hidden Cities, a five-song EP. Take a listen to the frosty, ethereal but muscular Maura-fronted "Break My Heart" after the jump.

Nice guitar sound, iced keys, and final bluster -- it's kind of like a post-punk My Brightest Diamond.
The five-song The Hidden Cities EP is on sale here. Web-only, in the spirit of the project. We can relate.
