New Go! Team -"The Wrath Of Marcie"

While poking around the site streaming Figurines foray into Beach Boys pop, we stumbled upon some new Go! Team for your booty-shaking pleasure. Not stirring the tried-and-true recipe much, the Team's playing with Sly horns, '80s cadences, and a sing-along summertime soulglo hook. Less politico than "Grip Like A Vice" (we think ... Ninja says "revolution" somewhere in there), but just as ripe for your July 4th BBQ playlist. Have a listen at Soundvenue.

Something sounds a little familiar. This sounds like a VERY similar version of their song "The Wrath Of Mikey" which was on their "Step And Repeat" EP.

The main difference is that there are lyrics on this version. Also, "Mikey" was replaced by "Marcie."

I'd still like to know if the 9/11/07 release date was deliberately chosen, to make a political statement, for example.

Something sounds a little familiar. This kind of reminds me of every single Go! Team song ever.
