New Jay-Z - "History"

thumbnail icon: New Jay-Z - "History"

After exhausting all the talk about the hope and the optimism for our country's future and the realization of its highest ideals on Tuesday night, a blogger-friend and I got down to the campaign result's most immediate and significant impact: How many emails did we expect the next day from bands publicizing their very special "Obama Won" songs? Our guesses to the amount (and listenability) of said commemorative tracks were pretty dead on, although Jay-Z's hadn't rolled in yet. The track's got J rapping and indirectly repping Obama's rise, finding the victory in history and the musical counterpart to his Obama's running so we all can fly speech.

America.

Anything to make a Buck.

And Black people say they are disenfranchised, JaY has enough money to Feed Africa, but Diamonds, fancy cars & homes is where he puts his money.-+ Very few wealthy Black Celebs actually donate millions to the needy.

I can't even listen to it because of that stupid fucking tag that plays every 30 seconds. I can't even get into the song because I know it's coming. Fuck them.
