New Michael Jackson (Feat. Fergie) - "Beat It '08"

Man have we got good news for you if you enjoy the pointless reworking of classic music! The Thriller desecration continues, under the veil of the hastily assembled, '08-stamped studio abortions. If you thought the Kanye joint was bad news and relatively uneventful, Fergie's here to change your mind, going for an "Unforgettable" style line-trading collaboration, except that MJ's not dead and Fergie sounds more like a strangled cat with a ruptured meow box than Natalie Cole. At least she has better pitch than her shot at Bond. Click around in MattP's little iMeem box of MJ remix magic at your own risk to your ears.

Remember, all this stuff is out on the Thriller - 25th Anniversary Edition, out 2/12/08, ostensibly timed as such in order to be one of the worst Valentine's gifts you could give your lover.

Stop setting up everything michael does negatively. It's fucking tired now. You're part of the media and you don't need to do it.

At sites where these were written unbiasedly, to let readers make their own decisions, people ended up liking some.

At the risk of tasteless puns, I'm gonna have to say the 'Beat It' retread is pretty anemic.

I LOVE MJ and I HATE this remix . If you are going to remake something, fine, but do it right.

So, I take it that you're contractually required by your corporate overlords to post stuff from this utter abortion of a re-release?

Those between-verses Brrr's were annoying then, and they're even worse now.
At least Eddie's guitar solo is still in there.

The remixes are good. And about time the album was released. For those who dont like the new remixes the original ones are still on there. Think about it logically. In todays market the music back then in the 80's is not marketable so therefore a revamp and a wave of new fresher fans needs to be introduced. I would have loved to see Timbaland do a remix of one of the songs though!!!

Lets hope its not a flop like invinsible!!!

shut up man he might have done some silly things and had a messed up life but his music is good you cant deny it his songs are classics, and so he remade them with some new artists ? it appeals more to todays generation if u dont like it, u dont like it but top going on and on about it

fuck i heard this for the first time today and wanted to punch my radio.

beat it is THE GREATEST SONG OF ALL TIME and adding D-grade fergie to and already unnecessary remix just makes me want to shoot myself.

didn't george lucas teach us anything about "updating" the classics???
