New Muse - "Starlight" (Remix)

According to Stereogum reader Ryan, it's an 'official' remix.

Muse fansite released this remix probably to promote the release of Muse's 2nd uk single "Starlight". An alias "Mr. X" has been taunting the website for the past few months. After much speculation many believe it to to be Matt Bellamy. He even goes to great lengths to encode the files with anagrams that decoded into encrypted passwords.
Interesting. I like the album version better.

Definitely makes it more danceable...I could see sticking this in a DJ set. But I'm with you Scott, I like the album version quite a bit.

The album version is perfect.

this is just another faceless by-the-numbers absolutely uninteresting remix ... it totally blows. Ick.

Hey all, I am the one who posted this. I agree, the remix is kinda crap. However I love the band, and "Mr. X" has been posting snippets of the B-side off of the "Starlight" single titled "Easily". This one is sure to be a hit...well an "off album hit". Anyways, I hope to get a hold of it soon and share it with you all.

since this is my favorite track off the album, i can't really say i enjoy this remix. too distracting...kinda shitty. as long as the video is as good as "Knights..." then i'll be happy...

All this reminded me is how much I can't stand remixes. Okay, 99.9% of them.
