New N.A.S.A. (Feat. M.I.A., Santogold, Spank Rock & Nick Zinner) - "Whachadoin"
Technically N.A.S.A. (North America/South America) = beatmakers Squeak E. Clean and DJ Zegon, but as you might've noticed when we posted The Spirit Of Apollo's "Gifted" -- featuring Kanye West, Santogold, and Lykke Li -- the project also includes a shitload of guest vocal spots. See, for example, the names listed after "feat." in the above headline for "Whachadoin," also from the forthcoming record.
As a reminder, other folks who show up on Apollo include Tom Waits, Karen O, David Byrne, RZA, Method Man, George Clinton, Chuck D, John Frusciante, and the dearly departed Ol' Dirty Bastard. This is clearly the most exciting thing about this project.
The Spirit Of Apollo is out in the UK on 2/16 via Anti-.

This album should be pretty great. Really fun, at the very least.

What's the point of all these guests if you can't actually hear them (ie: Nick Zinner and Santogold)

I'm not familiar with the group, but my guess is North America / South Amferica is a typo.

You're right. You win a guest vocal spot on the album.
Score = 3
haha I thought that was their real name. What's sad is I didn't even think twice about it.
Score = 0
i guess it's pretty safe to say that this is going to disappoint.
Score = -2
I don't think it's safe to say that.
Gifted and that David Byrne track are hot shit.
I don't think I dig this that much by comparison. But it might be because of the shoddy audio quality. Naeem is branching out beyond fuck raps, which is cool.
the funny thing is, I've always been someone who was irked at the M.I.A./Santogold comparisons (I like them both a lot, and definitely consider them distinct entities) but i seriously cannot tell if/where Santi White actually is in this song.
Score = 1
This is starting to remind me of how rappers feature everyone and their mom. I hope the scene doesn't head too far in that direction cause' that might be the death bell the the genre as it has been for rap.

What is Nick Zinner doing?

Singing, "Whata Ya Doin'?"

Is it almost famous?

I was willing to overlook the star fucking annoying premise of this album if this track was good, but unfortunately and predictably it's an annoying piece of shit
