New Nina Gordon - "Kiss Me 'Til It Bleeds"

Shades of Aimee Mann on "Kiss Me 'Til It Bleeds," the first single from Nina's second solo album Bleeding Heart Graffiti (out 8/8). But, ultimately, it's pretty dull.

The curious can stream it at MySpace.

Veruca Salt are releasing a new album the following month, sans Nina. Which is fine with us, 'cause the Seether's Louise.

Nina actually co-wrote this song with a super cool lady named courtney jaye. I think courtney's version is better. check it out her myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/courtneyjayemusic

Reminds me of Vanessa Carlton

Yeah, it's dull. It sounds like it was written specifically for inclusion in some "very special" episode of One Tree Hill. And it's really ashame, because she obviously has some songwriting chops and she can sing... but the production and execution of these songs is just to slick for her own good.

Personally, I think she should have stuck to doing NWA covers:

I actually like the song a lot. I think her solo record was great, and I'm really looking forward to the new album. Maybe I'm just excited to have new music from her.

oh god, courtney jaye SUCKS. I can see why she was kicked off Island Records haha. Nina wrote the majority of the song, poor courtney is just trying to pass of the song as hers.

Dull? Wow. I think the song is great! Can't wait for the new album. Definitely don't hear any Aimee Mann in there either, maybe we're listening to different songs?

I think the song's a real grower for sure, dull's not the word I'd use ;)
