New Oasis Video - "The Masterplan"

Stop the clocks! It's a new clip for an old Oasis tune!

Oasisnet.com tells us:

"The animated video sees Oasis transported into a stunning world based entirely on the paintings of legendary northern artist L.S Lowry including subtle modern day twists and detailing. The UK TV exclusive of the video will be aired on Top Of The Pops, BBC2 at 8pm on the 21st October."
Wait, we thought TOTP was dead?

Anyway, this video is pretty rad if for no other reason than animated Liam's strut, d'yaknowhwatimean?

Noel Gallagher will appear at the premiere of Lord Don't Slow Me Down at CMJ FilmFest, 11/4, 2 PM @ The Directors Guild Theater. Is the flick any good? Dunno. Feels creamy.

That is a really cool video and a great song. If only Noel sang all of Oasis' songs...

Awesome. This band takes it in the neck from most rock snobs, but they are fucking unbelievable. Rock Stars of the truest sense, and songs to match. Noel Gallagher is a genius.

I thought I saw a new video for 'Acquiesce' today (with Japanese people acting as Oasis). Maybe it's a double a-side release?

I always liked Oasis. Simply good songs and loud guitars and no apologies for wearing their influences on their sleeves. I wish more bands actually sounded like the influences they claim, maybe rock wouldn't be in such a sorry state if they did.

But isn't it about time for a Noel Gallagher solo album? What a voice.

Is it just me, or have Guigsy and Bonehead managed to rejoin the band through the powers of animation?

Could this be a never before released video from 97 when The Masterplan compilation was released? I see Bonehead and Guigsy in there.

top of the pops is indeed dead, but for some bizarre reason, top of the pops 2 is still going. it's like top of the pops, only with steve wright talking nonsense and loads of archive clips from years gone by.

This has nothing to do with this story...but I was watching a little CNN this morning and there was a f'n sweet little bit about the Killers. CNN is so indie.

At any rate, the video is on the entertainment page of CNN.com.

"The best british band in the United States"? What?

It can't be left over from when the Masterplan was released. Noel wasn't playing that guitar yet nor was he using those straps.

TOTP has had its neck half-saved from the axe: there's a shitty secondary program called totp2 which has generally just played old totp performances with an irritating voice over; now they're also putting new performances and videos on that show.

p.s. oasis lick balls.

not as much as your band though which sounds like coldplay, much like hurricane #1 tried to sound like oasis.

I never got Oasis. I'm not saying they're naff, but they certainly ain't the dog's bollocks.

Yeah, that isn't Guigs or Bonehead. Its obviously Andy and Gem when they show the band playing live. Notably Andy's bass is what he plays with live. And the stage configuration.
