New Perry Farrell - "Go All The Way (Into The Twilight)"

thumbnail icon: New Perry Farrell - "Go All The Way (Into The Twilight)"

The film Twilight is the Catherine Hardwicke-directed adaptation of Stephanie Meyer's 2005 novel about a tween (Kristen Stewart) who falls in love with a vampire (Don Rickles). The film includes a new song by Perry Farrell called "Go All The Way (Into The Twilight)." Going all the way with vampires is trendy this year. Anyway, as might be expected, it's not as good as classic Jane's Addiction (more on their reunion in L.A. last night in a bit), "classic" Porno For Pyros , or classic Satellite Party.

The Twilight soundtrack, which also includes Muse, Linkin Park, Collective Soul, and Iron & Wine (?) among others, is out 11/4 via Chop Shop/Atlantic. The film's out 11/21.

I have to admit, this sounds a lot better than that live version that's on YouTube.

If this better I'd hate to hear worse. It's way off key, the beat is trying to be uber-cheesy eighties and is the only thing that succeeds. Then there's the spoken word part which just made me laugh, the singers are are like wailing wolves after sucking helium and over all it was just trashy and lame as hell. If this was a joke I'd be relieved.

Whatever. Perry is a founding father of jane's addiction - he's a genius!
