New Röyksopp (Feat. Lykke Li) - "Miss It So Much"

thubmnail icon: New Röyksopp (Feat. Lykke Li) - "Miss It So Much"

Yesterday we presented Robyn's Röyksopp assist "The Girl And The Robot." Today Lykke Li makes her previously mentioned Junior presence known via a vocal turn on "Miss It So Much," a bittersweet anthem about mechanical hearts, days turning into weeks, and being torn apart. Despite the sad lyrics and downcast instrumentation, there's something joyfully anthemic about it -- maybe those bright keys and Li's playful vocal patterns.

(via Pretty Much Amazing)

This leaves Anneli Drecker and Karin Dreijer.

Junior is out 3/24 via Astralwerks.

Your link to Pretty Much Amazing is broken. That's a bit catty.

Li took up the whole Carson Daily segment last night. Interview and 3 performances. Pretty awesome. She talked about being that crazy girl playing in Brooklyn parks...

wow...this is my first time at stereogum. Is the majority of the community usually this negative?

yes and no, most of it is for kicks and giggles but some is real in the negativity sense.

I enjoyed the track. Dreamlike and the music is a good match for Lykke Li's voice.

Stereogum her name is spelled "Lykke Li", not "Lykki Li".

Music just called... It wants its dynamic range back.

Seriously, the music is pretty good in itself, but my ears are just tired after two minutes of this. Another victory for loudness!

I'm not sure that listening to a track streaming over the web is the best way to judge dynamic range.

It's ok ... I wish I was more excited about this release. Everything seems "ok" so far.

I kind of agree with µkkro ... every track I've heard so far is so heavily compressed (sqwashed) that they seems to stay in the same place dynamically. Of course I need to really listen to the whole disc when it comes out so hopefully I'm wrong.

I will pay to see them live if/when they come around for sure. Webster Hall was a pretty awesome show (forgot the year ;)
