New Ryan Adams Live Video - "Crossed-Out Name" Cardinology is out soon, and Ry's celebrating by setting videos of himself doing new songs on Vimeo to PRIVATE MODE. But since we have the password, you should probably head over and watch. (Password = "classic") Also, you can hear a snippet of the studio version of "Fix It" at the once-again resurrected Foggy blog (thanks again, Matthew B.).

The single scares me. The chorus sounds like contemporary christian music with hands raised and eyes closed. I'd be able to forgive it if this wasnt how they were trying to sell the thing.

*Love* the wee bit at the start with the stuffed animals.

Not sure about this one. A little too similar to the rest of the Grateful Dead inspired stuff he's been doing for the past three years or so, the first of which he still hasn't topped (Cold Roses). One of the cool things about being a fan of Ryan Adams used to be that you didn't know what was coming next--what style or persona he would adopt for the next record. He's just stuck in neutral now with this kind of mellow, jammy, adult contemporary bit--it's like his music has been zapped of energy.

adult contemporary! ha!
i actually heard a lot of the new songs performed live recently and I can assure you they are far from adult contemporary. but if you don't like your face being melted, its probably a good idea for you to stay away. far far away...
