New Rye Rye (Feat. M.I.A.) - "Bang"
The Rye Rye/M.I.A. connections run deep: the pair toured relentlessly on the back of Kala, Rye teamed up with Afrikan Boy on the Paper Planes (Homeland Security Remixes) EP, now the 18 year-old is releasing her debut LP on Mama Arulpragasam's nascent N.E.E.T. label. M.I.A. doesn't do much more than "Bang" repeatedly on this Blaqstarr-produced track, but between Rye's fashion sense, flow, and club beats, she fits easily into the expanding Maya/Diplo/Santi/Spank/Amanda Blank axis.

I've been looking forward to all artists signed under M.I.A.'s N.E.E.T. label but I feel like I've heard this song before, it seems pretty generic (Reminds me of Lil' Mama), but then again I have only listened to it twice.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it's "pretty generic" or that it reminds me of Lil' Mama, but... yeah, it's nothing too special. Just the same post-Baile Funk production M.I.A.'s been rocking for the last few years with an unmemorable rapper on top.
Come to think of it, that's pretty much what you just said.
P.S. What up, Zo-Zo? :-D
