New Tegan And Sara - "Back In Your Head (Tiësto Remix)"

Although "Back In Your Head" is a catchy track, it wasn't the one we wanted to see the sisters Quin release first (we finally got that one a few weeks ago). It's also not the one we'd expect to wind up in the hands of trance master Tiësto for a beat-thumping remix; shows how much we know. DJ Tijs Verwest strips Tegan And Sara's breezy lead single of its signature piano plinking, but finds the lyrics' pleading feeling in emotive synth washes, underpinning the sisters' desperate "I just want back in your head"s with dancy melodramatics.

Liked it better when it had ninjas, but this'll work for club night. The Con is out via Vapor/Sire/London.

Is the song title a reference to the drugs you have to take for this to actually sound good??

wtf hate? i liked it. t 'n s are great, but somehow a small group of people always pop up to poop in the comments whenever they're posted here.

In the (paraphrased) words of Damon Albarn during The Good, The Bad and The Queen's Coachella set, when Tiesto was playing the main stage:

"It's the world's largest ice cream truck"

I was so thrilled when I saw Tegan and Sara + remix but Tiesto? Did it have to be Tiesto? He needs to stop messing with good tracks

Yeah this track rocked sooo hard in copenhagen!! It has the most incredible bassline ;o) Well done Tiesto!
Lasse: Everybody is intitled to have their own opinion on music including this track... That´s how it is. Though I do also think this track needs more credit than it gets here..

oh f**k you guys that say that the remix sucks... Tiesto is the best DJ I have ever discovered (believe me I've discovered a lot of them) and without his remix the original song sounds like a tune from the computer game the Sims ! he took the little piano jingle out of it, and that's a good thing!!

seriously..... if you don't listen to tiesto, don't fkn comment... the first 4 that commented are probably just arty farty bitches that only listen to music that people with 2 braincells left would like.

I think I would cream my pants if I heard this song at a dance club! Love Tegan, Sara, and Tiesto. Three of my favourite artists all molded into one song.

Bill Hamel and Morgan Page did better versions, seriously. This has to be one of the most uninspiring remixes ever made by a big-name dj/producer.

AWESOME. Tiesto is the world's biggest and most known Dj known ever, and those girls although i never heard of them (because I'm a european electronic - trance listener) really know how to sing. Good job!

ninny-bitches, I'll think it's only reasonable to accept overt negativity, from those who can personally make a better remix. So go ahead and show us your stuff. You got plenty of words. Back 'em up.
