New Twang - "Either Way (Mike Skinner & Pro Green Remix)"

The Twang haven't found much love stateside, but our NME subscriptions indicate they are VERY IMPORTANT! Though the band's "swaggering, big-hearted mischief" struck us as a tad sappy on first listen a few months ago, they've put out a remix of "Either Way" with Mike Skinner which of course has us listening.

Head to MySpace to see just how much Skinner's Streets slang benefits the cut, and then stream debut single "Wide Awake" so you can better embrace or call bollocks on the ever-churning NME hype machine. (We call bollocks.)

Wow, that was terrible. Is it me or was that just Chumbawumba's Tubthumper slowed down with shudder-inducing rhymes layed on top?

Yeah this was brutal. The Streets were never that good either. But they were at least tolerable.

Kinda off topic, though I want to rant;

English music has been crap for a while in my opinion. The last new English band I really enjoyed was The Libertines circa The Libertines, but they were no where near as good as the English press made them out to be, and Pete and Carl's side projects are just awful.

There are some good Artic Monkeys songs, but its ridiculous over here now, practically every english band sounds just like them. They're all so bland it is pathetic.

American indie music seems much more interesting and varied.

I'd like to think I'm coming from an unbiased stand-point, being an Aussie in London.
