My favorite song of 2005. I like the part where they blow up the chicken. It's not as good as the "Modern World" video though.

Random concept . . . and they blew up a duck!

A huge improvement from the "Shine a Light" video, which was so actively bad as to make me annoyed with a song I really liked.

If you are awful enough, people will assume you are brilliant.

It helps if you are awful and have the word "Wolf" in your name.

Wolf Parade, Aids Wolf, Wolf Eyes, Wolf Blitzer.

87 kinds of suck.

it looks like they had a good director/cinematographer. it's almost like if a music video isn't outrightly funny or quirky, everyone picks it apart. people still care about music videos?
no, it's no 'steady as she goes' but it was done well.

Danny:

I bet the guys at Wolf Parade could figure out how to post to a goddamn forum correctly. So what kind of retard does that make you?

I dunno, the Bronze-in-the-Special-Olympics-Javelin-Throw-kind?

Even if I was a retard of Chris Burke stature, it still wouldn't make Wolf Parade any less of an awful band.

i'm all about backlashing on wolf parade, but this video was pretty ok and fun. just because a generation of assholes began liking them once pitchfork OK'ed it doesn't mean they totally suck.

Yes, I think the band represents the musicians in the party scene.

Sadly, I think it is too late for this song to be added to Sofia Coppola's "Marie Antoinette" soundtrack. This video is clearly a desperate and elaborate plea. ;-)

I saw Wolf Parade last week and they were pretty good live. Played many of the songs too fast, almost in a rushed manner though. They played a couple of new songs that were quite good.

You know the part in Zoolander where mugatu starts screaming about how everyone is taking crazy pills cause derrick has only one look, thats how i feel about this video - nothing interesting at all ...

... and I am actually pretty into WP. I've seen them live (yes they do rush) and will be seeing sunset rubdown in two weeks (Additionally I own an Atlas Strategic Record)

But, this video is LAME.

I couldn't make out Dan or Spencer. The other three are there though for sure. Maybe I'm crazy.

This is old news on the videoblog circuit. Check it out:

I think it's a pretty video, but it does lack that gimmick everybody seems to expect from videos these days.

I love music videos and especially love that youtube has brought them back.

But this thing kind of stinks. Absolutely no relation to the tone of the song if you ask me.

I beg to differ, Constant Dater. The "Shine a Light" video was the fucking funniest, most randomly awesome video I've seen in quite some time. I just saw Wolf Parade two nights ago and not only did they rock my ass off, but they also bared a silly sense of humor I would have never expected from a band that I always thought of as "serious." Their videos seem to support my hypothesis. I love em even more now. They are the best wolf band since Guitar Wolf.

Yes! That was by far the most Stereogum-Readeresque comment I've ever managed to shit out! I rock!

dan's in there at the end in the canon scene. he's got a beard.

the video is stupid. i was hoping for something a little more for that song!

I'm going to see them tonight! I am way way way excited... I hope they play "Disco Sheets"! That song is a fucking banger... it's kind of like "Your Cover's Blown" by Belle & Sebastian... except not... but I totally dig this band...

the main 'actor' in the video is actually one of the two guitar players in aids wolf which is kind of funny. i think it's a nice video.

I absolutely love this video. It's one of my all-time favourites. The directing is incredible and the song goes with it so well! I'm pretty big on wolf parade, too. They're local here.

I love the theme in this video and I have no idea why most of you don't see how great it is.

this video for me, is the kind that I keep watching everyday.
