The Daily News reveals that her biological father is actually newly unemployed Wayne Brady Show bandleader (and brother of Sheila E.) Peter Michael Escovedo. Escovedo was a percussionist in Richie's touring band, and Lionel was so taken with toddler Nicole that he asked if she could move in with him. Then Richie wrote "Dancing On The Ceiling," sent Nicole to Buckley private school, bought her only the best heroin, and everyone lived happily ever after.

Pete Escovedo is Mexican but his music is Salsa influenced, hence people mistaking him for Puerto Rican. You know, there are alot of beautiful women in the african culture that are not of mixed heritage. I have dated men of all races because they have all thought I was attractive. My children are of various races. In fact, I have a set of twin daughters that looks totally opposite of one another. One looks indian, hispanic and the other look caucasian and hispanic. The indian looking one have tanish dark skin, almond shape eyes and straight black hair. The caucasian looking one have BLOND hair, light brown eyes and fair skin. It's amazing and I look black and indian or dominican. People can't believe they are twins or my children. This just goes to show you that having a mixture of color can make one more attractive IF they are lucky enough to have the best of both mixtures.
