Noreen Bauble Unveils Arcade Fire Tracklisting

A YouTuber with a name conspicuously similar to Arcade Fire's forthcoming record uploaded a faux-infomercial, hosted by "Juno Award winning guitarist Richard Reed Parry of the Arcade Fire." Song clips! Tracklisting! Release date! Act now! (Thanks, Joe!)

Tracklisting?

01. Black Mirror
02. Keep The Car Running
03. Neon Bible
04. Intervention
05. Black Wave Bad Vibrations
06. Ocean of Noise
07. The Well & The Lighthouse
08. Antichrist Television Blues
09. Windowsill
10. No Cars Go
11. My Body is a Cage
Noreen Bauble is out March 6th (?) in North America on Merge. Operators are standing by.

UPDATE: Have you guys tried calling the 866-NEONBIBLE hotline recently? We just did, we pressed "6" at the prompt, held the line ... and found ourselves speaking with Will! Do it.

they're really trying hard to promote it aren't they?!

Why shouldn't they? It's probably going to be huge for them no matter what they do, but a bit of promotion (or a bunch) never really hurt anyone. I'm just hoping that No Cars Go is much different from the version that they put out on their tour EP...

I love No Cars Go. I'm glad to see it on an LP.

Jesus H. That was 10x creepier than anything that Marilyn Manson or Slipknot ever did or ever could do.

Did anyone try calling the number? It's pretty coolio! The sound is so bad though that I couldn't stay on to see if they were just playing Black Mirror or the whole album.

i'm freaking out! no one probably cares but : i called that number and like i remember a while ago i tried to call to hear intervention on the phone and like it didn't work so i decided to try again today. and i pressed 6 and then it rang and then this guy picked up and he's like "this is will."
me: will from arcade fire?? NOOO.
"will" : yes...
me: no way, i'm freaking out.
"will": yeah
and actually in retrospect it was pretty mundane but he confirmed the release date and he said he was in the office up in the great white north and asked me where i was from. it was weird. but i'm excited!

When I called they weren't there. I got an answering machine message. I'm going to try again.

Thanks for the linkage Scott!

No Cars Go is without doubt the greatest Arcade Fire track when they play live. The quick snippet on the stupid/awesome video has strings playing with it. That is perhaps the best news ever released via YouTube.

Yeah, AMEN to No Cars Go being on the new album - that song is too damn good/powerful/anthemic to not be given the LP treatment. I have a great version they did on CBC Radio 3 that trumps the (rather thin) EP version.

BTW, does anyone else think that "The Woodland's National Anthem" is just a kick-ass song?

OK, that's enough AF Fanboy bullshit for now.

i'm amazed the record hasn't been leaked yet. maybe that's why they're promoting it so heavy, cause they haven't sent out promos

Sarah's violin part played live on No Cars Go was my favorite musical moment of the year... 2004 was it?

such a mysterious website. when you call, you can press any of the numbers for a different menu option. what im curious about, when you press 9 they ask for a pass code. i tried alot of different variations that were suggested on the site and in the menu options, but no luck. try it out.
