Nude Britney Spears Giving Birth On A Bearskin Rug

Unfortunately it's a clay statue, not a viral video. Freaky twist: it's pro-life art.

"Britney provides inspiration for those struggling with the 'right choice,'" said artist Daniel Edwards.

Shakira's statue's stance on a woman's right to choose remains unclear. But judging by the photo, it's anti-feet. (Thanks J!)

In related Britney news, today's Daily News says that Mrs. Federline was downing shots during Kevin's birthday party at Tao in Vegas the other day. So no lil' sibling for Sean Preston ... yet.

what, you think just 'cause she's downing shots that she's not pregnant? this from the woman who had baby k-fed in her lap while driving? somehow, i doubt she's real familiar with fetal alcohol syndrome

This is the proper position and the proper role for any woman, pregnant or not. Notice the upward thrust of the pelvis in the classic "offering" of herself to please and service male needs. Every young female must be repeatedly tutored in the fine arts of pleasing a man. Let this stand in public to train our nubile girls. Lastly, they may now learn where the term "broad" originated and that it describes the rear view of this lovely statue. Congratulations!

“Britney provides inspiration for those struggling with the ‘right choice’,” said artist Daniel Edwards, recipient of a 2005 Bartlebooth award from London’s The Art Newspaper."

Aside from her successful career and millions of dollars, who in their right mind would look to Britney Spears for inspiration for ANY life decision, let alone one so important as whether or not to bring a child into the world? She is a joke. She has become a caricature of herself and reminds me of how lucky I am, however poorer, not to be white trash, mating with other white trash, bringing life into the world which will undoubtedly end up trust fund white trash.
That said, despite the artists claim about this being a serious work trying to make a pro life statement, it simply can't be. If the model had been some random unknown woman, perhaps. Given that Ms Spears has been selected as the muse, all that this statue says to me is to steer clear of dirty men and stay on the pill. Oh yeah. And if no statement or title had been given to this, my only response would have been creepy. It's just creepy.

All I want for Christmas is mandatory art education.

The responses are fascinating, and I'm not sure why I'm shocked that people are initially amazed and disgusted. Why is it disgusting to you? What is creepy about it? Britney Spears in a sexualized position (not only that, but on the stereotypical "bearskin rug")? That's definitely nothing new. A pop icon's birth made public? Again, old. The combination of these two ideas together, in a way that simultaneously repulses and intrigues? Hmm!!

I'm not trying to be condescending, simply asking people to go a little deeper before tossing it aside.

Women give birth on "all fours" all the time around the world. Only in North America women are routinely confined to birth on a bed lying down.

I have no idea why they decided to name the statue after Britney since she was "too posh to push" and had an elective caesarean!

Um...I never thought I'd say this, but poor, poor Britney Spears. I mean, while she has been a bit trash-tastic throughout the years, what female pop star hasn't. And suddenly, since she's gotten married and had a baby, the media acts like she's a beverly hillbilly. And now, the birth of her first child has been, without her consent, sexualized and made a mockery of. And to call the sculpture pro-life. What a joke. Sexualizing the act of giving birth does not display the sanctity of life to the slightest degree. This sculpture was made in very bad taste, to say the least.

Sorry, mate... as much as you wish to publicize your pro-found infatuation with the VERY MARRIED Ms. Spears, you obviously missed the bus on her birth... see, MRS. FEDERLINE had a pre-scheduled C-Section because MRS. F. didn't want to experience the REAL pains of any woman. Yet, she claims she wants to be treated as such.

I personally look at this statue and think dirty nasty thoughts. And I am a woman, myself!! I beared childbirth!.. so I KNOW I am a full-blown woman!!... but I look at this statue and I wish I had a HUGE one, b-cuz the way the artist depicted this 'masterpiece' triggers my brain into overdive. I wish I WAS a man just so I could stand behind this statue and whistle the words of how many times I could scream "oops... I did it again!~!"

Talk about erotica!! I haven't felt this excited since the Pamela and Tommy Lee video hit the internet. Free porn pixx of Britney.. without her consent.. and it's legal??? (albiet: distasteful)but who cares... I'll visit this showing simply b-cuz I want to see the rear end of the sculpture!!!!

Sorry brit.. you lost cred when you stole another woman's man... you are free game now!! And I can't wait to picture you on all fours from the receiving end!! Super-stardom at its finest!!!

Second who births a child in that position. 3rd if you were going to convince someone to not abort their baby would you show them child birth? How would showing a women in labor pains of child birth and showing a baby's head tearing through a small hole convince someone how wonderful having a baby is? Besides shouldn't a pro-life statment be more about the baby and not about a naked pregnant women on all fours.

All right, stop the ignorant bullshit about "what kind of position is this to give birth in". Oppressive idiot medical obstetrics in this fucking country have convinced y'all that birthing lying down is correct, when it is the LEAST physiologically correct birthing position. I was just at a homebirth, baby born on hands and knees and it was the easiest birth I've seen, of eleven (the rest in hospital with misogynist docs trying to call the shots). Women around the world have always given birth on hands and knees, and squatting, and guess what, BIRTH IS SEXUAL! It's hard work, it's painful, and I know women that have orgasms as their baby slips out. You men think this is hot? OR you're scared to call it hot so you call it slutty? Guess what? It is fucking hot, to see a woman do the most intense work of her life and let a human being into the world through her pussy. Too bad Britney didn't.

Also the obvious Romulus connection the wolfmother, who symbolically gives birth to the founding father of Rome. And I commend Brittney for her courage. This is art which is made to be experienced by as many people as possible. The celebrity model increased it's effect.

BULLSHIT! LOOK at the bad "art" statue...NO ONE can give birth in this position. Gravity is working against her here and forcing the child AWAY from the birth canal. One can be sitting up and that lets gravity help...or one can be lying on one's back...but the sculpture's position would make birth harder. And speaking of harder...that's why the artist had her in this postition...so her tits are hanging down...to excite himself. Reminds me of a nude yoga tape I saw once...instead of showing women from the side so you could see well what they were doing, they showed them from the front so you could see their tits hanging down.
I'm no prude but there is hardly any diff between pornography and this very bad sculpture.

Putting the subject matter aside is it good sculpture? I think it is quite a good effort in clay. Sculpture in the round, although not having had the experience of actually walking around it, I can see why many people would find it confronting. It isn't a work from life, quite obviously, and it would appear to have been made for a purpose other than just being a piece of art work, therefore can we really call it art? My guess is no we can't. That should cause as many howls as the work itself.

My Opinion: That looks nothing like Britney Spears. It's a repulsive statue that had potential. When I first read the news about the statue, I was shocked in disbelief. Once I saw it, I realized there was no need to be shocked. It looks like about a 40-50 year old woman, rather than Britney Spears age with that hair style that was sculpted. I should have known the statue would not resemble her in any way. Nothing more than another modern day example of a scam in getting people to believe a lie for the sole purpose of exploiting citizens somehow, and in return, giving someone more power or money. It's a sad day we live in today folks. Don't let them fool you, research anything you question the truth about extensively! Believe what you know first hand from experiance or scientific data. Remain skeptical of everything your told that you know nothing about from personal research. :) Happy media watching :) I love media, its enriches my life, so I learned a lot about it simply by being exposed to so much of the media I enjoy.

Funny. I don't know what to say other than i think this is wonderful art. I've always felt that art should elicit an emotional reaction. This certainly does that.

My only other points are just rephrasing what other people have already said.

A. B.S. had a C-Section, so what's the point?
B. B.S. showed her pregnancy all over, so this thin replica doesn't even portray the reality of pregnancy.
C. That doesn't even look like a thinner BS.
D. I've watched plenty of National Geographic shows (not joking here) to know that all 4 birthing methods are not natural, squating down in a method that allows the woman to "bear down" IS.
E. I'm so glad they have a lot of money, because when they get bored with this baby they can hire someone who knows how to take good care of it.

I dont think it looks like Britney Spears.
I think its funny to have her having a vaginal birth
its funnier that a pro life statue is on a bear skin rug
the position is obviously sexual, bc its certainly not good for giving birth, which generaly does not go against the laws of gravity!

Britney Spears pre-pregnancy was the prototype for the biologically perfect woman. Definately a hot bitch. All of you femenist dykes out there can go screw your 9-irons cause you aint worth a pinch of coon sh1t. I love that statue even though it doesnt look like Britney.
