Oasis Cancel NYC Show, Premiere New Songs On Its Streets Instead

thumbnail icon: Oasis Cancel NYC Show, Premiere New Songs On Its Streets Instead

That's right Terminal 5 ticketholders, time to secure your refund. You can thank the crazed Canadian stage-crasher who brought Noel to his knees (and bruised his ribs) the other day for the show's cancellation, but there's still a chance to hear new Oasis if you're in NYC tomorrow. The band's selected, and will personally teach, 30 street musicians from the MTA's Music Under New York Program to perform live premieres of Dig Out Your Soul tunes "The Turning," "Bag It Up," "(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady," and "The Shock of the Lightning." They'll be performing in subway stations, at parks, and various landmarks throughout the city. Pretty clever.

If you go you should take video -- they'd like you to upload 'em to the digoutyoursoulsongs channel. Here's a map indicating various performance times and locations, and here's a new song that won't get a live premiere tomorrow. Dig Out Your Soul is out 10/7 (10/6 in the UK).

Amrit,

I'd like to sincerely thank you for not making a negative or sarcastic post about Oasis. You are my hero.

The press release specified that Youtube channel (a.k.a. user's page) as a place to watch for Oasis' own videos. You can't upload videos to someone else's channel, so upload them and add them to the following group I created:
