One "Crazy" Sample

Splendida Project has unearthed the tune from which Gnarls got "Crazy."

"Nel Cimitero Di Tuscon" was composed by the Reverberi brothers for the '68 film Preparati La Bara!. Splendida says they were students of spaghetti Western soundtracker Ennio Morricone -- which isn't surprising once you hear it.

Link via Music For Kids Who Can't Read Good who has MP3s of "Crazy" by the Kooks, Ray LaMontagne, Nelly Furtado, and Twilight Singers in case you missed it when we posted 'em here.

It just occurred to me that Sufjan looks like a young Steve Carrell over there to the right.

But Ben Gibbard just looks like a nerd from Bellingham.

Actually I think Ben looks a bit like an unbald Dwight from the American 'Office.'

Cool cut. That reminds me, whoever chose the music for Nacho Libre did a fantastic job. SUPERcool 60's Mexican music of all kinds. Funny as hell too. xoXoxxOxXo

I love this sort of Mexican music. I'm still in love with "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood." But this song is pretty good too.

Yeah, but really -- I don't think it is any secret Danger Mouse uses samples.... by ANY stretch of the imagination.

I mean... that's kinda what he does, ya know.
