Operation Disintegration

Last night at Celeste's birthday, Jen, Jess, and Lanha wanted to know all about Britney. Britney this, Britney that. I'm sorry to break it to you am I not some crazy Britney expert.

...

But here's Kevin buying coffee at 7-11:

Britney's totally gonna put her lips on that. Sigh.

Here are some "links":

  • Rivers Cuomo's Harvard readmission entry that Rolling Stone was quoting from the other day (link via Catchdubs).
  • Nicolas Cage's new fiancee wife, 20-year-old former waitress Alice Kim, is not interested is his money (link via Hustler Of Culture).
  • Sarah's been deconstructing the Donnie Darko soundtrack ever since she stopped drinking.
  • Does M. Night Shyamalan's The Village really suck that much?

Off to Curiosa! If you see me, say hi.

    Happy birthday Celeste!

You mean Nic Cage's WIFEY. Hey if E! is reporting it, it's as good as true, no?

"ET has confirmed that NICOLAS CAGE has wed 20-year-old ALICE KIM. Before meeting the 40-year-old Oscar-winner, Alice was a waitress at a sushi restaurant. The nuptials took place Friday afternoon at a private Northern California ranch..."

    Snaps!

    yeah, the village does suck.

worst movie about an upotian society since dogville, which was only mildly pretenious. the village is just utterly pretenious.

The Village does stink, but suprisingly, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle is the shit.

Your blog is so damn hilarious. I just found it randomly, but its too fun to pass up.
I love your Brit pics, fun stuff. Your commentary is the best part though....
plain crazy and i love it. One Brit comment: Why the hell does she always have to style her coif in that nasty-bad ponytail piled ontop of her already big forehead? I can't take it anymore.

Why do they always shop at 7/11? Seriously, it's like they're personally saying "fuck you" to pictures of the food pyramid.

Ugh, for fucksakes Brit, Kev...eat a carrot.

I am going with the underdog view here, I thought The Village (or as we call it, the willage) was fantastic. And sure, its easy to feel cheated and its easy to hate it because you think the end should have been flashier, but I think he pulled this whole thing off quite well.

The Village is 17 times worse than anything you've read about it. The theater I watched it in started giggling halfway through. I guessed the "suprise" ending near the beginning but thought it was too retarded to actually be it. Acting, bad. Pacing, unbearably slow. The weather is always the same except for when it changes all-of-a-sudden. The dialogue is like a sixth graders imitation of 'old-timey talk.' And the Shyamalan cameo is soooooo pretentious. Which makes it fit with the rest of the movie, but still. Bad. Bad bad.

I thought the village was shyamalan's best b/c it wasn't all about the flashiness (is that a word?), but rather more about the characters.

    And I liked that.
    Fin.
