Paul Westerberg Offers More Oddly Priced Downloadable Music We told you Paul Westerberg's 44-minute 49:00 was available at for 49 cents -- was because looks like you can't buy it anymore. If you don't mind inflation, though, there's the two-song 3oclockreep EP going for $3.99 (one's a 22-minute collage that includes Tom Waits babbling!) and choose between 99¢ and $5:05 for "5:05."

K: so this concept is worn out already? What should PW do - go back to releasing albums on CDs? Is that clever enough for you?

PW can bury himself in moose stew as far as my collection is concerned.

I say keep releasing 'Oddly Priced' music. This (and '49:00') is his best work since Twin Tone Replacements.

Band To Watch: Threatmantics

Threatmantics are a scruffy Welsh rock trio that throw some wrinkles into the scruffy rock formula: Instead of a lead guitarist, they have a lead John Cale viola, and their drummer does double-time with a keyboard. The two guys mixing...
