Eagles Of Death Metal @ Henry Fonda Theater, Los Angeles 2/4/09

With Heart On in their pockets, Eagles Of Death Metal are now on a whirlwind tour taking them to 42 venues in nearly half as many countries. The Los Angeles show is always a special EODM stop, though; that's where you can count on member-in-vision but not-on-the-road Josh Homme to add some muscle to their cheeky crotch rock. Homme made his forecasted appearance -- singing on four songs ("Secret Plans," "Already Died," "Wanna Be In L.A.," and "Boys Bad News"), playing drums on three more -- and also Jesse Hughes offered the formula for every Eagles Of Death Metal song ever: "Base it on 'Brown Sugar.'" Which they then covered. Catching them on this tour shouldn't be hard if you live in the States or in Europe; click on for the dates and last night's setlist, and check the spread of shots by photographer Andrew Youssef.

the eagles were great, but the opener Living Things I hate to admit where unbeilevable, and gave eagles a run for their money...I had never heard of Living Things what a great band and their singer puts on solid show.

Living Things are the best! I once saw them at the troubadour and they got into a fight with the light and sound guy and threw off on the club the entire time. Thats not what I liked, BUT at the end of the night, they gave all their merch away for free so the troubadour wouldnt get a cut of it. THAT is awesome,
