Pineapple Express Express Might Bring M.I.A. Out Of Retirement In an interview with EW, Maya says she was set to start making films or something, but her Pineapple success has created "pull for me to make another record." Also her mom likes her more now.

I keep hearing that damn song on the radio. They took the gunshots out so I'm almost wondering what is the point anymore of the song?

If Pineapple Express didn't bring her out of "retirement," the fact that she is still under contract to deliver another album to Interscope probably would have.

Just b/c she is under contract to make another album by a record label doesn't mean she has to make another one. Album contracts are just to lock the person into making albums under their label and not someone elses.

Talk of new, annoying fans jumping on the bandwagon 3 or 4 years too late in 5... 4... 3... 2...

first half of Pineapple Express was about half as good as Knocked Up; the second half was almost as bad as Freddy God Fingered

no serious artist would simply cease making art or retire. do you think picasso just stopped painting because he was rich? this retirement think makes her look like a joke pop product.

MIA is a joke. She was never going to retire in the first place. Its just something that people say to get attention in the news. Nobody knows who you are, so the first album that you release that gets any kind of attention, causes you to claim retirement. So what? Are we supposed to beg for more?

Honestly, I think she should let her music speak for itself and stop hiding it behind false claims of retirement and that stupid 80's overkill gimmick.

Hottest Sri Lankan shit ever? Clearly you've never really gotten into Ajith Bandara, Gunadasa Kapuge, Kamal Addararachchi, and please let's not forget the great Dharmaratne Brothers.
