There is a torrent of the entire episode here:

Can someone link to a torrent of that clip that doesn't require signing up?

I don't get what was so funny about this episode, it mostly contained the same tired gags they've been retreading for ages now. Ferrell can have his moments but this certainly wasn't one of them. Wake me up when they start paying the writers to come up with good material again.

Hey, I went and talked to the people in the SNL Stand-by ticket line for this show.

http://www.theapiary.org/archives/2005/05/the_snl_standby.html

There's a guy who's been waiting in the queue every week for the past 30 years.

They probably threw Will Ferrell on stage with QOTSA as a type of distraction because the lead singer sounded AWFUL, and played out of key.

SNL has "writers" now? I thought they did away with these "writers" in the 80s.

Well, if they have "writers" now, why aren't they writing teh funny?

it's so strange that people call the will ferrel days the "good old days". when he was on the show back then everyone bitched about how great it was when chris farley was on. ah. it's a good show. tina fey, amy, horatio... gold.

Will Farrell playing along with the band was funny...back in like 2002 when he did it with Weezer. But it wouldn't be SNL if they came up with *new* jokes, would it?

What is the greatest cowbell song ever? The obvious choice would be "Time Has Come Today" by the Chambers Brothers from the 60's. Any others?

"Appetite for Destruction" is the cowbell album.

no contest: the best cowbell song ever is foghat's 'slow ride.'

I totally agree with Jenny, the poster above. When have the Queens started to suck so badly? Jesus almighty, what a poor song that was...shitty by any standards, but all the more so shocking because this was circa the summer of 2002 one of the most inventive and interesting sludge rock bands out there. What happened that made them morph into such alterna-sissies?

Mark Lanegan and Dave Grohl are the only true talents that were part of QOTSA

Dave Grohl is not a true talent by any stretch of the imagination, sorry. Rated R was the best [of that year I feel] mediocre is the rest...

Josh Homme, and yes, those are two of the more alterni-sissy songs on LTP. I wish they would have played like someones in the wolf or burn the witch.

Hey, nilloc. You're a freakin' moron. Dave Grohl is one of the most versatile frontmen in music today. He is also considered one of the best drummers ever. He is an excellent drummer and a solid guitarist and vocalist. So when you can do all the things he does half as well as he can, then you can run your mouth about who has talent. And I'm not even a big fan of his.

Yeah, Dave Grohl may not be the ultimately technically talented drummer but he makes up for that with his innovative, hard-hitting beats
As far as calling QOTSA "alternative-sissys", what kind of hole do you come from..QOTSA is putting out good, new music that's better than like 99% of the shit out there so i think they deserve more credit than to get a stupid label like that.
And sludgy/kyuss music back in the day was boring and dull imho

You people don't have a fuckin clue do ya? You aren't with it enough to comment on QOTSA or Will... So stick to Limp Bizkit... and Chris Kattan.
