Ready To 'Raoke

So tonight's New York by New York Of Montreal karaoke getdown gets down in just a couple of hours, and after seeing Kevin's quick-change through five costumes in four minutes during "Heimdalsgate Like A Promethean Curse" on Thursday's Late Night With Conan O'Brien, we're ever the more psyched. Did you guys pick your costumes? Dress wacky and you'll get preference to get up onstage! Tell us what you're wearing so we can say hi. (Definitely not so we can laugh at you.) And if you're going, what are you going to sing? Also, make sure you know that they flipped the script on the OM sets: the regular set is now FIRST. Here are the details:

it seems like they don't want to do "wraith" anymore after the steak incident... i know they didn't play it at two of the three la shows in January, not sure about the last one.

Hard to be cheery about Of Montreal right now. After a week of conversations about "nappy-headed ho's", the original Ho has left the building. Yes, in true celebrity fashion, Don Ho probably felt that this week, with his name inadvertently upon everyone's lips (including Don Imus), was the perfect time to close the show.

Three cheers for Don Ho. May those tiny bubbles sail you to your champagne-soaked hereafter.

That's too bad about Don Ho. And was Cat Power just in the digital short on SNL?

They played "Wraith..." at the Troubadour show in January, albeit it a quicker and shorter version not without its Outback hecklers in the balcony.

Where you shoulda been last night was at Mercury, checking out Cloud Cult. Absolutely incredible. And they are about the nicest people I've ever met.
