RIP Woxy
As you're all aware this is our last week with Woxy.com. The beloved online radio station is taking a Future Of Rock And Roll "victory lap" by repeating its Modern Rock 500.
We'll playback 100 'laps' per day, starting Monday at 9am ET, and resuming Tues-Friday at 9am until we reach #1 sometime after 4pm on Friday.Thanks for all the great music, Woxy!As this was our signature event for so many years, the last two of which were pre-recorded, it gives us a final opportunity to share music with you that helped to define 97X/WOXY.com through our 23 year existence.

A few years ago I called Babs to request a song to play for a girl, and after she played it she said she felt like Chuck Woolery and totally called me out.

I'm going to miss the hell out of WOXY. Funny, since I discovered it on accident last summer whenever interning for some booking agents. I've been hooked since and have discovered a lot of artists I've grown to love through it (Editors, We Are Scientists, Guillemots, to name a few). WOXY will be sorely missed. Thanks for a great run.

It appeared in one of the local Twin Cities newspapers that Barb from WOXY will be taking the 9-Noon slot (and Music Director) at 'The Current' in the Twin Cities.
