R.I.P. Ron Asheton • Stooges founding member/guitarist Ron Asheton was found dead at his Ann Arbor home this morning. There's no official cause of death yet, but Rolling Stone -- who rightfully listed him as one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time -- reports that it looks like he had a heart attack. It is difficult to overstate how influential Ron Asheton's guitar has been on every punk and hard rock band to come along since 1969. Most of those bands don't even realize it.
