Rogue Wave Get Their War On

Shins' faves and soundalikes Rogue Wave have reworked some of the songs from last year's excellent Out Of The Shadow. They've now available, along with the band's cover of U2's "Seconds," exclusively at iTunes. Recommended!

i don't get the shins comparison, other than they are both mellow in sorta the same way. but maybe i've just seen both bands live too many times, they sound quite different in that setting.

Hmmm... one more reason to bitch at Apple. You should note that these Rogue Wave tracks are exclusive to the US iTunes Music Store, and therefore un-purchase-able by anyone who doesn't have a US credit card.

That's the danger of this new digital age!

I don't like Rogue Wave. Saw them open for... for... AC Newman, I think, in August and was sorely disappointed. To Shins-y for me; I'd rather just see the Shins.

The songs are actually available on the iTunes UK site as well, which surprised me. Thanks for pointing it Seconds was a U2 cover - i thought it sounded strange for a rogue wave song!

I saw them open for Earlimart, not knowing who they were and was very impressed. They did this Buddy Holly cover that was amazing, and really left a good impression on the crowd. Methinks I'll need to pick up the record soon.

The Buddy Holly song they cover is "Everyday". I believe it will be coming out next month on the "Stubbs the Zombie" soundtrack.

It works the other way around.

Guess who almost smashed her laptop when she found out she couldn't download The Bravery's cover of An Cat Dubh.

Yep. -.-;
