Ryan Adams & Parker Posey Split

ELK reports in today's Post:

Hipsters, it's open season: Indie actress Parker Posey and her singer boyfriend, Ryan Adams, have split, a source close to him says. The 30-year-old Grammy winner made Posey, 36, his leading lady about two years ago, and they were a regular celeb sighting for residents of the East Village.
Aw, I liked them together. I guess I won't be seeing her at Duane Reade anymore.

Ryan & The Cardinals have three albums coming out this year. Cold Roses is the first out (5/3), followed a few months later by September and 29.

Preview Cold Roses' rollicking first single "Let It Ride" at Mr. Adam's always confounding website.

YES! Thank you Ryan Adams. Fantastic song on the website (and Rainy Days) and it's a great return to his twangier country songwriting. Much more akin to Heartbreaker and to his Whiskeytown days. Superb!

There is a shedload of "unreleased" Ryan Adams stuff that is worth checking out. Unreleased in that it hasn't been officially put out, but is readily available if you do some digging.

The stuff that you should check out is The Suicide Handbook, 48 Hours and Destroyer, each of which is leagues better than the debacle that is the Rock 'n' Roll album.

Try bootcity or easytree and places like that to hunt the stuff down. The Suicide Handbook, an almost entirely acoustic record, is really worth purloining...

The ftp site is: ftp://66.54.140.200, the login name is "ryan" and the password is "adams", but you will probably need to use Internet Explorer rather than any other browser to get it to work.

Anybody have any feedback on what RA's concerts have been like on the Cold Roses tour so far? I'm going tomorrow night in Columbus OH and was curious.

I was at the show in Buffalo on 5/14. Didn't realize what a kick ass guitarist RA is. Overall great show, probably the best I've ever seen. Mindblowing. And if RA is a free agent again, he knows where to find me.

Ryan has the best singing voice and the greatest
song-writing talent I could ever hope to meet.

I'd take shaking his hand, and gazing at his face. That, with the music he creates, I would keep in my spirit and heart for as long as I live.
