Ryan Adams Will Be Your Valentine Recently Ry told us he needed some space, but apparently not before making us a mixtape of his best love songs. The Ryan Adams Valentine's Day EP is out 2/10 via iTunes and will include the unreleased bonus track "Hey There, Mrs. Lovely." Full tracklist at MySpace. Now are we supposed to get him something? The first Valentine's after a breakup is so awkward.

This is lame. It's also lame how he said he was quitting music and blogging, and then promptly kept releasing music and blogging.

He SAID he was gonna stay a Folk-rock god until after the Fox show in Atlanta. You gotta let him quit 1st before you start welcoming him back.
That's very hipster-douche of you, Mr. "Ahead of the Masses".

Since his contract with LH is up, and this is on LH's myspace, I'd bet this has nothing to do with Ryan, and is just LH trying to make a buck off a departing/departed artist. These Girls is a remake of Hey There, Mrs. Lovely, but the orgiinal of Mrs Lovely is on Destroyer and that's owned by Geffen. Does anyone else think that it's funny that Two, which he's said was really a drug song (as in one pill doesn't work anymore) is reborn as a love song?

Two has always been a favorite of mine and does work as a love song. I know that I have spent my share of time "loving" my drugs. Sick, but true.
