More starlets releasing albums! Yay! Fox News reports that, this time, it's Esquire's sexiest woman alive, who's releasing an album of Tom Waits covers on Rhino Records' Atco label. Cooler than writing a bunch of craptastic tunes and weathering the inevitable criticism. Or duetting with Meat. Mark yer calendars, Scarlett Sings Tom Waits is looking at a Spring '07 release date.

A**holes are like opinions, everybody have to have one. I'm a big fan of Tom Waits, and I won't scream bloody murder for it. The girl's got good taste, at least. And to be honest, if her version of Summertime won't make me forget Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong bringing the song to seventh heaven, little Scarlett is doing a fine job on it.
